About

I am the founder of J. Wills Coaching, a leadership coaching and training firm that helps purpose- and mission-driven individuals identify their strengths, develop their unique leadership styles, and improve their work and personal lives, while maintaining their wellness and well-being. Prior to JWC, I was an attorney with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for more than 15 years where I worked with senior leaders and political appointees on national policies and regulations impacting manufacturing, retail and chemical industries. During my time at EPA, I also developed training programs for attorneys and operations-related policies that improved the morale of employees. I also have worked in the U.S. Senate and the federal judiciary. I have been faculty and lead career coach at Virginia Tech's Center for Leadership in Global Sustainability. 

I have a J.D. from the University of Kentucky, a Master’s degree in global sustainability from Virginia Tech, and a Bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Louisville. I am an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and completed a PCC-level ICF accredited coaching program through George Mason University. I am certified to issue the EQ-i 2.0 assessment to help clients develop their leadership capabilities and emotional intelligence.
